Welcome To The World Of Wildlife With Laurel Neme.
Dr. Laurel Neme is a regular contributor to National Geographic and Mongabay.com. To expand her experiences she has camped in and explored the Kalahari, investigated walrus carcasses on Alaska's Bering Sea beaches, and gotten lost in the Amazon jungle with the Brazilian Federal Police--all in pursuit of knowledge and a better story. She is the author of ANIMAL INVESTIGATORS: How the World's First Wildlife Forensics Lab is Solving Crimes and Saving Endangered Species, a "CSI for wildlife" that has been featured on ABC News Nightline, C-SPAN, and NPR's Science Friday.
Laurel is also the author of books for children, including The Elephant’s New Shoe, about a true animal rescue story about an orphaned elephant who needed a prosthetic foot, and Orangutan Houdini, a true story about an ape who outwits his zookeeper friend.

How the World's First Wildlife Forensics Lab is Solving Crimes and Saving Endangered Species
Animal Investigators tells an amazing story about concerned scientists and forensic teams working to solve the murder mysteries that all too often are overlooked: the poaching and smuggling of endangered species.

Think CSI: Wilderness. Laurel Neme’s book gives us a new set of heroes, in the labs of the Fish and Wildlife Service, and reminds us of one of the uglier set of villains on the planet, the traffickers in wildlife.
